Hornwort

Ceratophyllum demersum, also known as hornwort, is a common, free-floating aquatic plant native to North America. It's found in many freshwater ecosystems and has spread globally through the aquarium and pond trade.

Appearance: Long, dark green branching stems covered in small, needle-like leaves that feel rough. Leaves are divided into two equal parts and arranged in whorls. Habitat: Lacustrine (lakes or ponds) and riverine (rivers or streams)
